A Week Economy Tibet Tour

This Tibet Tour is a budget tour designed for budget travelers. We can operate a deluxe trip with the same itinerary too. This trip will provide a short and sweet memory about Tibet . Any one can join on this trip. Every Saturday and Tuesday this economy trip will depart from Kathmandu . Generally you will be joining with other groups. You will be spending 7 nights & 8 days in Tibet

Day 1. Arrive in Kathmandu (1100m)
This will be the first day in Nepal. You will be picked up by one of our representative from airport and transferred to hotel. We will inform you about the hotel, city and next day’s program. In the evening you may have your dinner in the hotel or go out and have new experience.

Day 2. Sightseeing in Kathmandu
We do half day sightseeing in Kahmanud valley after the breakfast with professional tourist guide. We will visit the Bahudanath (The little Tibet), Pahsupatinath (the great Hindu temple) and Swyambunath (the monkey temple). We will be back to hotel by lunchtime. Rest of the half day we prepare for next day departure.
Day 3. KTM-Zangmu-Nyalam (3600m)
Today we will depart early morning for Tibet by bus to Tibet border to Kodari. This drive will be approximately 5 hours. We have to go through the Nepal immigration and cross the border by walking. We will cross the friendship bridge. After that we catch the Tibet transport (4 wheel drive) and drive about 2o minute and go through the Tibet immigration and drive to Nyalam. Nyalam is a small town with mixture of Tibetan and Chinese.  You will meet the Tibetan tour guide here.

Day 4. Nyalam to Tingri or Lhatse (4550m)
 We will leave Nyalam early morning. We will cross the Lalungla Pass (5150m). We wil see beautiful mountain views on the road and from the pass like Mt. Sisapangma ,Makalu. We will see Mt. Everst, Mt. Chooyu from Thingri. And overnight in a guest house

Day 5 Lhatse to Xigatse:
We drive to Xigatse today.  Overnight in Sigatche. Sigatche is second largest city in Tibet.

Day 6 Xigatse to Lhasa visa Gyantse(3650m)
In the morning we will visit the Tashilamphu monastery, the famous Panchen lamas’ tomb and few other small chapels. Tashilamphu monastery is the biggest monastery in Sigathce. This monastery was founded in 1447 by the first Dalai Lama Since the time of the fifth Dalai Lama in 1642, the abbot of the Tashilamjphu was known as the Panchen Lama (literally the Great Scholar). We will see a huge statue of Maitreya Buddha (Buddha to be). We after completing the tour in Xigatse then we will drive to Xigatse via Gyantse.

Day7 and 10 Lhasa Sightseeing
These tow days we will do the sightseeing Lhasa. Lhasa is the capital of Tibet. We will visit the Ptala Palace, Draphung and sera monastery, the summer palace (Norbulinkha) and the Jokhang Temple.

Day 9 Fly back to Kathamdu
We have to drive about 1 and half hour to the airport early in the morning. The flight from Lhasa to Kathmandu will be about 1 and half hour. Generally you will arrive in Kathmandu around 10 am. You will have afternoon free.

Day 10 Leisure day in Kathmandu
This is your full leisure day in Kathmandu. We can organize a full day sightseeing for Patan & Bhaktapur or just explore Thamel and Kathmandu Darwar Squire. You may do Everest mountain flight or some other tours as well.

Day 11 Trip ends. Transfer to airport.
We will transfer to the airport according to your departure time or continue with your next tour. You may have to check out from hotel before noon.
